A Big THANK YOU to our Student Volunteers

Wow! Our student volunteers have certainly been very busy over the last academic year. Along with our Development Workers, they have attended over 200 workshops (yes!) and given up their valuable time to attend other LIFT OFF events to boot.

We LOVE our student volunteers at LIFT OFF, so we ran a “Thank You Event” this week to celebrate all their efforts and give us the chance to say a resounding "cheers lads" to them all. We also took the chance to gather feedback about how successful the last year has been, and to pick their brains about what we might try in the future/

Robyn, an S5 pupil from St. Pauls also joined in the celebration by giving us a pupil view on just how great our student are. Robyn did a great job and helped to keep proceedings fun!

We also invited along Aleks from NUS Scotland who is gathering information from our students about their recruitment and training received at LIFT OFF.

Bryony Green a student volunteer from St. Andrews University was announced as our new Senior Student. She’ll join Dan in September helping to make the Student Volunteer experience a great one!

After some fun ice-breakers and some discussion we got down to the nitty gritty…the celebrations! Each volunteer received a certificate detailing the number of hours they had achieved over the last year along with a box of celebrations! (What everyone wants…right?)

Here are our lovely volunteers with their certificates (note: we think the chocolates might have already disappeared at this point!)
