Beath's First UCAS Information Evening for Parents a Success

Beath High School hosted their first UCAS Information evening for parents on Tuesday 25th September. This was designed to help portray the support senior pupils receive in school with regards to university applications. LIFT OFF was honoured to be invited along to share how the LIFT OFF programme supports pupils during the learner journey and beyond.

Mairi attended the evening and delivered a presentation to the parents and senior pupils that were present. She was able to share all the brilliant things LIFT OFF do at the school. These included the general workshops, individual core pupils meetings and of course our student volunteering programme which brings current HE students into school classes.

Mairi said “I was excited to be asked along to contribute to the parent information evening. It was really interesting to find how Beath High School guides their senior pupils through their UCAS journey and how LIFT OFF compliments the schools’ support network. The feedback from the parents was all really positive. I hope they run it again next year!”
